Wellcome Trust

Introduction to Wellcome Trust

The Wellcome Trust Conference Centre is an outstanding venue, offering world-class facilities for conferences of all kinds. It provides delegates with state-of-the-art conference technologies in a delightful rural idyll - all within easy reach of Cambridge, the M11 and London Stansted Airport.

Rural retreat with a scientific family tree
Set in the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus, home to some of the world's leading genome and bioinformatics research institutes, this is less science park than country retreat. Hinxton Hall is an elegant Grade II*-listed country house set in 55 acres of parkland on the banks of the river Cam. Since the Wellcome Trust took over the site in 1992, the house and estate have been lovingly renovated and imaginatively adapted for their current purpose.

Light, space and individuality
Unlike many conference facilities, most rooms boast natural light and views of the grounds. We can offer an array of rooms to meet your needs, from the extravagant dome-ceilinged Pompeiian Room to the Rosalind Franklin Pavilion with its 20 high-specification workstations. We also have a purpose-built 300-seat auditorium and the cloisters, once part of the stables and now a first-class exhibition space.

We can cater for up to 300 delegates with our highly commended restaurant and marquee.

For residential conferences we can accommodate up to 72 single, or 105 single/twin delegates in our range of ensuite bedrooms. Further bedrooms can be outsourced at special rates from other local venues.
