After a keenly contested competition, Clare College chefs are celebrating after achieving outstanding results at the Cambridge Culinary Competition 2011 awards on 10 November. All of the candidates received medals, 14 in total and won 6 of the 8 categories which were entered, including canapés, cold starters, main course, vegetarian main course, afternoon tea cakes and petits fours.
We are delighted that our chefs also won the coveted Steward’s Cup; best team effort taken from all classes. Our catering manager, Lee Corke said, “Still within my first year at Clare, I am extremely proud of the team that were victorious in winning the Steward’s Cup for overall best College. The victory has generated a real buzz within the kitchen and the team can’t wait to compete again.”
