The Conference team at Robinson College is celebrating achieving excellent ratings from clients in the MIA’s Meetings Intelligence survey for 2011.
Robinson College has notched up high scores for the venue, food, responsiveness to client requests and helpfulness of staff. Almost 90% of respondents rated the staff and their handling of client requirements as ‘excellent’, with 70% saying they would definitely return to the venue for other events in the future. Three quarters of people thought the standard of catering was first class.
The excellent year’s results coincide with the period during which the College strengthened its conference team in order to provide a totally customer-focused approach for its clients.
A number of key appointments were made during 2011 with the result that the department now has a dedicated team of highly experienced event professionals who can offer clients support from initial enquiry through to delivery and beyond.
The latest additions to the team include Emma Fincham who has joined as Conference & Catering Office Co-ordinator and Amy Brown who has been promoted to Conference and Events Co-ordinator.

Not only are we in an excellent position to support our clients from enquiry and showround to delivery, but also assist them commercially to optimise their event resources and budgets. In-house training is ongoing as we continue to implement our ‘Working Together To Be Even Better’ programme throughout 2012”.
Robinson College was purpose-built with conferences in mind to bring in revenue and regularly hosts residential and day conferences for over 250 delegates and drinks and canapé receptions for up to 700.
State-of-the-art wi-fi (300mbps) is provided in all bedrooms, available to delegates free of charge.
Registered as a charity, it offers modern buildings, traditional values and year-round conference facilities, including residential events during term-time by
partnering with local hotels.
Robinson has purpose-built theatres with state-of-the-art audio visual technology supported by trained technicians, award-winning cuisine and a location that allows excellent access from major road links and yet only a short walk from the historical centre.
