Pembroke College

Pembroke College

Founded in 1347, Pembroke College is one of the oldest colleges within the University of Cambridge. Contrasting with this long history, a new building, which forms a part of the College's current development programme, is up-to-the minute in design and in facilities incorporated for delegates.

Traditional College gardens, matured over centuries, contrast with the Japanese garden of Foundress Court, completed in 1997.  In these distinguished surroundings, ancient and modern complement each other making for a relaxed and enriching experience.

Located in the centre of the City, delegates have easy access to shops, restaurants, theatres and cinemas as well as other colleges and historic buildings.

  • Distinguished surroundings where ancient and modern facilities complement each other.
  • Personal service to ensure your event requirements are met.
  • Centrally located, with city parking within a few minutes walk.
  • The chefs and service staff endeavour to meet the widest range of dining requirements.
  • Architecturally notable rooms available for meetings and dinners.

Dining HallDining Hall1751000010000The original Hall dating back to the fourteenth century was demolished by Waterhouse. The present Hall was designed by Waterhouse but greatly modified since then, notably in 1926. At that time the Gothic roof was taken down and two floors of rooms were added above the Hall. The Gothic tracery of the windows was also removed, so that the building has lost its Victorian character.
