Downing College has a unique and magnificent setting amidst 17 acres of lawns and trees, yet it is in the very heart of Cambridge. The College boasts the superb College Hall, with its grand classical interior which can cater for lunches and dinners for up to 180. For smaller more intimate events there is the West Lodge and Maitland room, which opens onto the beautiful sunken gardens. The Howard Building is suitable for receptions and buffets up to 160, with a lounge bar area, fully equipped lecture theatre and gardens.
